Last June, Hakan from Beringen in Limburg finally received the vehicle he had dreamed of for a long time. A 2019 BMW 640d purchased for the sum of 45,000 euros. “It was my dream car. We saved for a long time for her. She had all the possible options,” explained the young man to our colleagues at Nieuwslad.
Unfortunately, malicious people had also realized that this car was extremely valuable and, during the night from Monday to Tuesday, the vehicle disappeared from the driveway in front of their house. “Our room faces the street, above our driveway, but we didn’t hear anything. Neither do the neighbors,” laments Hakan.

The problem is that the new owner of this car had not yet taken out theft insurance. “We received it in June, and now we are back from vacation. We wanted to resolve all that this week… But there, overnight, we lost 45,000 euros. Ok there is no material damage, but it hurts.”

The family has surveillance cameras at their home, but these were likely disabled by the thieves. And if that wasn’t enough, a handbag was inside the vehicle.

According to police, the vehicle was observed three times by surveillance cameras after the theft, but that’s it.
