Best Health takes control of Saïss Environnement

Best Healtha holding company created in 2004 to bring together the medical activities of Best Financial, announces the acquisition of a majority stake in Saïss Environment, Moroccan leader in the collection, management and processing of wastechets mmedical and pharmaceutical.

After having acquired in September 2020 the company Mabiotech, a major player in the distribution of laboratory equipment and reagents in Morocco, Best Health, one of the major players in the distribution of medical and surgical equipment, is doing it again by completing the acquisition of a majority stake in Saïss Environnement, the Moroccan leader in the collection, management and treatment of medical and pharmaceutical waste.

For Best Health, this operation allows it to strengthen its position as a leader among the players operating in the field of health by offering it increasingly broad and specialized solutions to health professionals in Morocco. In addition, he adds, “this acquisition of a majority stake will make it possible to meet the increasingly standardized needs and requirements of the sector, and to consolidate its position as a reference player on the African continent”.

As for Saïss Environnement, this partnership is today an opportunity for it to accelerate the pace of a development already well under way and to take advantage of the established network of Saïss Environnement on the Moroccan and African market, according to the creation of the holding company which brings together since 2004 the medical activities of Best Financière, the parent company of LabelVie.

Created in 2004 by Chadia Khlifi, Saïss Environnement started its activity within the framework of a public-private partnership agreement. Since then, Morocco has undertaken the establishment of a regulatory framework for the production, treatment and disposal of waste, to which the company has contributed. Benefiting from the dynamics of a Moroccan market aware of the ecological challenges of the years to come and anxious to apply the best practices in terms of environmental respect, it has thus become the first company in the Kingdom to offer the treatment of waste from care. It currently absorbs 34% of national waste production, mainly from hospital activity.

As a reminder, Best Health represents the interests of prestigious partners such as Philips, Elekta, Abbott, Becton Dickinson, Mindray, Beckman Coulter, Cepheid…. It employs 180 people and in 2021 generated a turnover of 500 million DH. In addition to Best Financière, the capital of Best Health represents the interests of prestigious partners such as Philips, Elekta, Abbott, Becton Dickinson is held by the Amethis investment fund (a subsidiary of the Rothschild Bank) and Adil Bennani, who manages as such the group’s medical activity.
