Professions have undergone huge changes in Dragonflight. The overhaul carried out by Blizzard on WoW is colossal and the professions have become much more complete. They offer many possibilities for players who wish to invest in them and it is possible, as always, to earn a lot of gold with trades. Let’s take a look at what’s going on for the release of Dragonflight.
The first thing to know is that there is no miracle solution. First you need to determine how much time you want to spend on trades. This will be especially true at the start of the expansion.
Some players may rush into a specific market, while others will want to advance their craft as quickly and as far as possible in order to be among the first to offer products with the highest quality possible. Part of the community will also be interested in the most profitable recipes quickly, without especially seeing things in the long term.
In any case, you have to realize that most jobs are interconnected. It is therefore interesting to have a global vision and to take an interest in what is also happening in other professions. This is the price you can earn a lot of gold in WoW, at the Auction House and using the new Player Orders system.

2. Understand the trades well
The first thing you will do will of course be to level up your profession. In Dragonflight, professions range from 1 to 100. Be aware, however, that you only need to obtain fifty points, or half, to have access to most recipes.
Reaching 100 points quickly will certainly allow you to have access to new recipes, but also and above all to become a better alchemist, blacksmith or even dressmaker. Your products will be of higher quality, which will result in increased stats and efficiency, and therefore potentially higher prices. As you know, many players want to buy the best and some are ready to pay the price!
This concept of progression is valid for both harvesting and production professions. A miner will get higher quality components, which will allow him to create, if he is also a blacksmith, better pieces of armor. Quality plays a huge role in Dragonflight. Reaching the maximum level in your profession is therefore not linked to learning lots of new recipes. You will want to reach 100 quickly in order to have better results and acquire better raw materials.
3. Practice, practice, practice
To improve your crafts, you have to practice them. Again, this is true for harvesting and production.
A herbalist must gather as many herbs as possible because this will eventually allow him to obtain better quality herbs, but can also refine herbs to improve their quality, or even obtain more points for specializations. An alchemist can, by optimizing his production, discover new recipes via the experiments. Every trade is affected and therefore you can’t take it easy if your goal is to make money quickly with your trades.
Moreover, there are career quests. Complete them as soon as possible and once you reach level 70, take advantage of the weekly Valdrakken quests to improve yourself again and again.
You also need to be extremely careful about how you spend your spec points. Every 25 skill points you can unlock a new specialization. You will then recover knowledge points that you can allocate in dozens of different talents. You must therefore think about the talents you want to achieve quickly and not go blind!
I take an example with herbalism. If you specialize in Botany, you’ll be able to gather plants while riding a dragon. This is a huge advantage that allows you to collect components much faster later than if you get off your mount each time.
For crafting professions, each point you allocate will gradually improve the quality of the items you can craft. Specializations also allow you to learn high-level recipes. You must therefore realize that if you advance simultaneously in several specializations, you will not have access to your End Game recipes for a long time, unlike players who decide to invest in a single specialization to be among the first to craft certain objects.
Finally, we must not neglect the professional equipment. You can equip yourself with several items and these bring sometimes significant bonuses.
As you have already understood, it will take invest yourself concretely in your trades if you want to play the leading roles. If you decide to raise secondary reputations, farm dungeons, raise your professions a little and get 5 L70 characters quickly, you will not be able to compete with players who will prioritize professions. To be one of the best players in your profession, you will have to invest time and, incidentally, gold.
If you change jobs, it’s a dead loss because you lose your revenue in the process. Only the knowledge points are kept in memory. If you relearn a trade, you will have to upgrade the skill. On the other hand, your knowledge will remain and your talent points will be returned to the same places as when you left the profession.
