On the one hand, a ceasefire agreement is being considered between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, on the other hand, the wave of anger against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is intensifying. Apart from inside the country, now the US is also worried about Netanyahu.
Netanyahu is being accused of obstructing a prisoner exchange deal, especially after the bodies of six Israeli hostages were found in Gaza two days ago.
The US White House clarified in a statement on Monday that US President Joe Biden held a national security team meeting to determine the strategy regarding the final agreement.
Before leaving the White House for Pittsburgh, US President Joe Biden assured that Netanyahu is not doing enough to reach a prisoner exchange agreement.

Biden clarified that ‘we are not negotiating with Netanyahu, but I am negotiating with my counterparts in Egypt and Qatar’.
According to the US news website “Excess”, this is an indication that the previous final proposal presented by the US administration will be presented to Egypt and Qatar without further consultation with Israel.
Netanyahu reiterated his commitment yesterday that the Israeli army will not go out of the Philadelphia (Salahaddin) Corridor. It is a 14.5 km long narrow strip along the southern border of the Gaza Strip with Egypt.
According to Netanyahu, there will be no pressure in this regard.
On the other hand, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has said about Netanyahu’s demand to maintain control over the corridor, “This is an unnecessary imprisonment that we have imposed on ourselves.”

Gallant warned that it was morally shameful to prioritize the Philadelphia corridor over the lives of the hostages.
