Binotto-Aus at Ferrari: That says F1 boss Domenicali / Formula 1

Mattia Binotto has resigned from Ferrari. Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domencali knows how Binotto feels, he was also team boss at Ferrari, and he also ultimately fell out of favor in Maranello.

It was the big bang at Ferrari on November 29th: the news that team boss Mattia Binotto has submitted the resignation. One person who knows exactly what’s going on in Binotto is his Italian compatriot Stefano Domenicali – because the current manager of Formula 1 also worked as team manager of the most famous GP racing team.

57-year-old Domenicali told Sky Sports News about 53-year-old Binotto’s departure from Ferrari: “If you finish second with Ferrari, that’s just not enough. But I don’t want to get caught up in the dynamics of this team. I just wish Mattia the best for the future.”

Stefano Domencali was the Ferrari team boss from 2008 to 2014. The Imo reader continues: «I was in the same situation many years ago. I wish for Binotto that he remains goal-oriented and does not lose faith in himself. »

“On the other hand, I hope Ferrari finds the right solution to stay on course. Because they managed a nice increase this year, especially compared to where they were two years ago. »

“We need a competitive Ferrari in Formula 1. We need strong teams with outstanding pilots to guarantee good sport. Of course I’m dreaming of a three-way World Championship, but I think it’s more than that – I really think three teams will fight for the title next year. That will happen.”
