The shy sun of the last few days has made us want to garden, but it’s still a little early to plant the annual flowers that will make our gardens beautiful this summer. However, at Marty Fleurs, Magaly and her brother Mickaël, now associated with the orders of the family horticultural business, are preparing for the highlight of spring. “You can still plant pansies, provided you don’t explode them in the sun,” advises Magaly Marty. The young woman is flourishing in her new role as a business manager, effective since July 22, 2022. After a passage of twenty years in the sports professions, she therefore joins the family line. With Michaël, they are the fifth generation of the Marty-Gabens company! Alain and Brigitte, their parents, are still present, but now with reduced hours…
The farm is open every day, except Sunday, except for the months of April and May, when there it is 7 days a week.
You can also find Marty flowers and plants on the markets of Montauban on Wednesdays and Saturdays, in Villefranche on Saturdays and, of course, at the plant fairs in the region.
In addition to flowering, perennial, annual or shrub plants, the greenhouses house all kinds of aromatic plants and a few vegetable plants. Geraniums, petunias and begonias will soon join the carnations, columbines, anemones and pansies that are currently blooming in the greenhouses.
Everything will therefore be ready for the “open doors” of the weekend of April 22 and 23, a moment much appreciated by customers. The 6,000 m2 of greenhouses will then offer an explosion of colors that will be difficult to resist.
