New Delhi > The BJP state leadership has come forward alleging that the governor is close to the Trinamool Congress, the ruling party in West Bengal. After the leadership made its displeasure public, the Center summoned Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose to Delhi.
BJP leaders are upset with the governor’s friendship with Mamata. Rajya Sabha MP Swapandas Gupta alleged that the Governor was the Chief Minister’s xerox machine. Opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari, who expressed displeasure with the actions of the governor, publicly announced that he would not attend the event invited by the governor.
The Governor had raised the slogan ‘Jai Bangla’ which is widely used by the Trinamool Congress in the event attended by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. This has angered the state BJP leadership.
