Recently, 92-year-old Russian theater and film actor Ivan Krasko practically does not appear in public. The star of Soviet cinema complains of health, including falling vision. According to Ivan Ivanovich himself, he needs an urgent operation in Germany, but in the current situation, going abroad is out of the question. In an interview with reporters from the ProZvezd portal, Krasko said that he could not afford expensive treatment.

“I have already traveled to Germany with my eye problem. True, it was a long time ago. Doctors say that I need to fly to Berlin again, but I won’t pull it financially, and my age is already prohibitive. It’s better for me to recommend that I take a well-deserved rest, because, of course, the artists’ eyesight is getting worse from the light of spotlights, ”the actor says.

However, Krasko says that he cannot live without a stage – leaving the theater would be a tragedy for him. By the way, the artist jokingly calls himself “the chief sailor of St. Petersburg” – back in 1953 he was awarded the rank of captain-lieutenant. Ivan Ivanovich claims that, despite his age, he is quite ready even for mobilization. Krasko hopes very much, however, that it will not come to that.

“Today I must say: “I serve Russia”! Guys, oh, I don’t know, maybe they will call me for mobilization. Everything is possible with us! But every artist dreams of dying not in a trench, but on stage, so I’d rather play more, ”the actor laughs.

Not so long ago, Express Newspaper reported that the elderly Krasko was barely making ends meet. The man has long complains about financial difficulties.
