Blizzard Veteran: “After the deal with Microsoft, the release of Warcraft IV has become more likely” | Games

Game designer David Fried, who worked on Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, The Frozen Throne and World of Warcraft, speculated about the possible creation of Warcraft IV – a continuation of the cult strategy of Blizzard. On his personal YouTube channel, he stated that deal companies with Microsoft can afford to implement this.

David Freed:

“After the deal, the release of Warcraft IV has become more likely. There are still some veterans at Blizzard who I’m 90% sure would love to create a sequel to the strategy and now they’ll have a chance to lead development. Chief among them is, of course, Samwise Didier.”

Samwise Didier is an art director at Blizzard Entertainment whose work has had a major impact on the graphics in the company’s games. For example, because of his love for pandas, the Pandaren appeared in the World of Warcraft. Fried noted that if Didier approached him with an offer to work on Warcraft IV, he would certainly agree.

Blizzard has not announced any plans to release Warcraft IV. Previously became knownthat the team has been working on an unannounced survival game since 2017.
