Boeing plans to move from Chicago to Virginia

The American company Boeing said it “intends to move its headquarters from Chicago to Arlington, Virginia.”
The move comes as Boeing struggles with financial burdens related to the 737 Max and the impact of the Corona virus pandemic on travel.

The company recently reported a net loss for the first quarter of $1.4 billion, significantly more than the $561 million during the same quarter a year ago.

Boeing moved its headquarters from Seattle to Chicago in 2001.

The aircraft giant said, on Thursday, that it “intends to establish a research and technology center in Northern Virginia.”
