The reform of the reference price of generic medicines, likely to save between 400 and 500 million francs, having died in parliament, it is a less ambitious version that Alain Berset presented this Friday. By modifying two ordinances, which is within its sole power, the Federal Council encourages the use of generics and improves access to vital medicines. Savings envisaged: 250 million francs per year all the same, “i.e. the equivalent of 0.7 to 0.8% of health premium”, specified the Minister of Health. These measures come into force already in 2024.
