The authors of Baldur’s Gate III continue to work on optimization, but modification developer PureDark decided to make his contribution. He significantly improved performance in The Last of Us: Part I, and now he has made a mod that adds DLSS 3 support to Larian’s creation. He showed a demonstration of his work in the third act. At this point, the game seriously loads the processor, and the frame rate drops, which also affected the version for PlayStation 5. But with DLSS 3, the game produces a stable 60 FPS and higher on a system with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 video card. However, the modification available only to paid PureDark subscribers. Perhaps someone will make a free version – this is exactly what happened with the DLSS 3 mod in Starfield.
