  • Now things seem to be looking up again for Boris Becker.

  • After his release from prison at the end of 2022, he revealed that he wanted to get married a third time.

  • According to “Bild”, the 56-year-old is already engaged and plans to marry Lilian Monteiro this year.

At the end of 2022, when Boris Becker (56) was released from prison, he said in an interview with Sat.1 that Lilian Monteiro (33) was the “love of my life”. She stood by the former tennis professional for almost eight months while he served his sentence in England.

This show of love seems to have triggered something in Becker; after his release from prison, he revealed that he wanted to get married a third time. Now the two seem to have moved one step further because, according to information available to “Bunte”, they have already secretly gotten engaged.

“I’ll do better this time!”

According to “Bunte”, the wedding will take place this year, but it is not known whether the 56-year-old will return to his homeland for it. In May, after his release from prison, he moved to Milan for his Lilian. At that time, at the “Online Marketing Rockstars” trade fair, he said: “Happy wife, happy life” and added: “I’ll do better this time!”

He referred to his previous marriages, such as that with the Dutch model Sharlely Kerssenberg (now Lilly Becker, 47), with whom he was married for around nine years. Since they have a son together, there was a heated custody and maintenance dispute after the separation.

Boris is still in debt

After Becker served his sentence for concealing his assets worth millions from his insolvency administrator, he is said to still have six-figure payments outstanding today. His insolvency administrator Mark Ford revealed this to “Bunte”.

He continued: “I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it is a very long tunnel. However, we are definitely at the back of the tunnel. I can confirm that I continue to act as Boris Becker’s bankruptcy administrator, so the case is not yet completely closed. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you whether there is still money outstanding; I cannot provide public information about such details.”
