The time has come on Saturday: The BOSS Vienna Padel Open (May 20th to 28th) in the Steffl Arena will start with the qualification.

The draw took place on Wednesday evening three days before the start of the tournament – Austria’s duos therefore know their opponents. Marc Janko opens the qualification from a red-white-red point of view on Saturday.

Janko and his partner Dominik Bierent will face the Spaniards Mario Del Castillo/Miguel Benitez on Saturday (May 20) at 2:30 p.m. on Center Court in Hall 3 and will open the tournament from a home perspective.

The ex-ÖFB team captain is in the top 35 in Austria’s rankings and has been playing at national tournament level for several years, but doesn’t think he has a chance. The international competition in qualifying is too strong.

“My public sporting execution will take place on Saturday. I would be happy if many people would come and keep their fingers crossed for me – or laugh at me. I can live with both,” jokes Janko. The qualifying opponents are in 43rd and 60th place in the World Padel Tour (WPT) ranking.
