BrahMos: India-Philippines sign agreement BrahMos | DRDO

New Delhi: India and the Philippines have signed an agreement to purchase a BrahMos cruise missile. The Philippines bought the missile for $ 37.49 billion (approximately Rs 2,811 crore). The anti-ship missile will be part of the Philippine Navy’s Coast Guard Regiment. The Brahmos will empower them to meet the challenge posed by China.

This is the first export of a BrahMos missile. BrahMos Aerospace MD: Atul Dinkar Rane said that many countries have expressed interest in buying and exporting more.

The BrahMos, developed by India and Russia, is the fastest missile in the world. A few countries have also expressed interest in purchasing Indian-made Akash, Astra missiles, radar and torpedoes.
