The shots are dramatic: tourist boats lie in a peaceful bay near the Brazilian community of Capitólio. Suddenly a huge cliff loosens – and falls down on three of the boats.

According to the latest fire department information, at least six people were killed in the tragedy, and up to 20 more are still missing. The authorities had previously announced that at least 32 people had been injured.

According to the authorities, at least 40 firefighters are deployed, including a diving team and a helicopter. Of the three boats hit, two sank.
▶ ︎ Rovilson Teixeira, a speedboat driver from the area, told the portal “The time”: “I had just left there. The area is full of ambulances coming from other areas to pick up the victims, but no one is aware of the extent of the tragedy. “
