Team boss Franz Tost is leaving his post at AlphaTauri at the end of the season after 18 years.
As the successor to Tost, under whose direction Sebastian Vettel celebrated his first Grand Prix victory in Monza in 2008 in the team that was still known as Toro Rosso, the French Ferrari sports director Laurent Mekies joins the sister team of the world champion racing team Red Bull around champion Max Verstappen.
In addition, Tost’s compatriot Peter Bayer, former General Secretary of the world association FIA, will strengthen the command level of the second-worst team of the past World Cup season.
