At the Rodrigo Paz Delgado stadium in Quito, Ecuador achieved its first victory in the South American Qualifiers after beating Uruguay 2-1 in a great way.
The Ecuadorians’ goals were from Félix Torres while the Uruguayan discount was from Agustín Canobbio.
In the first half, Ecuador would have the chance to open the scoring with Enner Valencia in a play where the attacker took a right hand from outside the area that Sergio Rochet cleared from the corner kick.
A few minutes later, Robert Arboleda would have two chances for Ecuador, but both of the player’s shots went quite wide.
