Thrissur ∙ An HR manager was arrested in the case of embezzling Rs 57.46 lakh from the company accounts by forging salary slips in the name of employees. Odat Roshin (37) of Guruvayur Thaikkad Mavinchuvad was arrested by the East Police. The action was taken on the complaint filed by Zubair, the CEO of G Mart at Nanthilam on Marar Road.
It has been found that the accused, who was working in the corporate office, manipulated the salary accounts of the employees who worked between 25th June 2018 to 31st January 2023 and transferred the amount to the accounts of his own relatives.
The fraud was by falsifying the electronic data and submitting it to the corporate office. After creating fake salary slips even in the names of those who were not working, the accused transferred the money to the account numbers of his wife, father, brother and friends.
