A video released Wednesday night showed Russian President Vladimir Putin, along with other government cars, heading to the Kremlin, urgently late, coinciding with the death of the leader of the “Wagner” group in a plane crash.
The video showed a number of Russian government cars, including a car carrying the Russian president, as it was heading quickly through the streets of the Russian capital, towards the Kremlin, for an “emergency meeting,” according to various sources.
Official Russian media confirmed that a private passenger plane crashed Wednesday during a domestic flight, killing all 10 people on board.
She explained that the “Wagner” leader was on board, as his name was on the passenger list.
The private plane that crashed in the Tver region, north of the Russian capital, Moscow, was on a domestic flight, between Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Prigozhin, whose forces fought alongside the Russian regular army in Ukraine, staged a short-lived armed insurrection against the Russian military leadership in late June and the Kremlin said he would be exiled to Belarus, and that his fighters would either retire, follow him there, or join the Russian army.
