Brendan Gallagher was the author of an absolutely disgraceful gesture which might well earn him a suspension, Thursday evening at the Bell Centre, while the Montreal Canadiens hosted the New York Islanders.
The small forward went with a vicious elbow to the head of defender Adam Pelech. Blow which led to his expulsion from the match.
Pelech fortunately seems to have come out of it well.
Gallagher has never been suspended by the National Hockey League, which might work in his favor in a potential hearing with the Department of Player Safety.
