The sharp rise in production costs for beer bottles is to blame. Some breweries would no longer be able to acquire them.
The threat of a shortage of truck drivers is also raised and, with it, possible delivery difficulties.
The association of German brewers has thus launched an appeal for the empty bottles to be brought back as soon as possible to the store where they can be put back into the circuit.
Currently, no warning to this effect has come from the Belgian side.
