PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) has prepared IDR 34 trillion in cash or an increase of 5.3 percent annually (yoy) ahead of the Eid holiday in the period 6-15 April 2024.
BRI Bank Senior Executive Vice President Operation Nyoman Sugiriyasa, said that the increase in the amount of cash was due to the difference in the holiday periods for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, which were previously 7 days in 2023 to 10 days this year. He also ensured that this did not disrupt the company’s liquidity.
“BRI has provided sufficient liquidity to meet customers’ currency needs in the Ramadan and Eid periods in 2024,” said Nyoman as reported by Antara, Wednesday (20/3).
Nyoman views that the speed of money circulation shows increased economic activity and has a positive impact on economic growth. According to him, the Ramadan and Eid periods are the periods with the highest levels of household consumption in a year.
Apart from ensuring cash availability, BRI said that the company also maintains the reliability of its e-channel network. The public can access more than 686 thousand BRI e-channel networks consisting of ATM, CRM and EDC. Apart from that, the public can also take advantage of BRILink agents, numbering 741 thousand and spread throughout Indonesia.
BRI has also introduced a virtual assistant "Sabrina" to make it easier for customers to ask for BRI ATM location information, check balances and savings account mutations, KPR and BRIguna simulations, check the status of BRI complaint tickets, BRILink Agent locations, and ask for the location of the nearest BRI branch office.

Outside of banking services, this virtual assistant can also provide information such as helping customers find various nearby merchants that facilitate payments via BRI.
In addition to the widespread e-channel service network, the company strives to provide convenience to customers with digital banking transaction services through BRIMo which can be accessed anytime and anywhere.
The BRImo application allows customers to pay for Eid homecoming and return tickets, pay zakat through the donation feature, and distribute holiday allowances (THR) to relatives via the transfer feature. (Z-6)
