If a band names itself after a French torture instrument from the late Middle Ages, there can be a variety of reasons. In the case of the brutal trio from Tennessee, the reason is that many fans like to call them the most brutal death band, and they’re probably right. It took two decades for the Bailey brothers to finally decide, after everyone’s pleas and a few festival appearances, to record a new album. With a new drummer on the rack, they are ready to destroy all hi-fi systems and speakers with their destructive death metal.

No pensioners yet

One thing can already be anticipated. 20 years have flown by. This is to be noted that Brodequin have not lost their quality feature. Merciless Death Metal that leaves no stone unturned. When it comes to blast beats, nobody can beat the Americans.

However, the song length, two 4-minute tracks each, is almost epic for this crazy speed and therefore the album almost has a varied character because here and there the tempo is reduced from 250 to 200. To put it more precisely, the groovy killer riffs of Michael Baileyto put it bluntly, provide a break from torture.

No musical torture

In regards to this, I raise the bone crushers Suffocation in Ash, HERE you can go into the torture chamber and the title track Harbringer of Woe out. The two tracks represent the entire strength of the album. A heavy chunk of Death Metal with the necessary brutality that a Brodequin The album really rounds off. In addition, a powerful sound ensures a Death Metal feel-good experience. Anyone who loves blast beats and pitched growls will be in El Dorado with this record.

Conclusion
Brodequin
They can still do it even after 20 years and crush you with their special brand of death metal. Your comeback album Harbringer of Woe stands for the beauty of force and aggressiveness in music and is therefore a genre highlight of the year for me. 9 / 10
