Bruce Willis suffers from “dementia”, announces his ex-wife Demi Moore

The famous american actor, aged 67, had announced a few months ago to suffer from aphasia. This Thursday, February 16, 2023, Demi Moore, with whom Bruce Willis was married between 1987 and 2000, explains on Instagram that he has “dementia”.

Terrible news. While we let Bruce Willis announce last March that he was stopping his acting career because he suffered from aphasia, a disease that complicates communication, the news concerning the state of health of the one who especially played in blockbuster films such as “Die Hard”, “Pulp Fiction” or “Sixth Sense” are not good.

Indeed, this Thursday, his ex-wife Demi Moore announced on her Instagram account that her ex-husband suffered from “dementia”. In a long post published on the social network, the actress explains as follows: “Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories that we have all received since the sharing Bruce’s initial diagnosis. With that in mind, we wanted to update you on our beloved husband, father and friend as we now have a better understanding of what he is going through.”

“Frontotemporal dementia”

And Demi Moore to continue on behalf of the entire family of Brunce Willis, with whom she had three daughters: “Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in the spring of 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we have now a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). Unfortunately, communication problems are only one symptom of the disease that Bruce faces. While difficult, it’s a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”

The actress, in conclusion of her moving message, invites fans of Bruce Willis to learn about FTD, a disease against which “there is no treatment”.
