Brussels-Nivelles Railway Line Disruptions: Find Out the Solution and Alternatives

2023-08-01 17:35:00

Since 2018, as part of the RER, Infrabel has been carrying out work to set up two new railway lines between Brussels and Nivelles. For this reason, SNCB recently announced disruptions to be expected on line 124, between Brussels-Midi and Nivelles stations. On the weekend of August 5 to 6, it will therefore be impossible to take the train in the stations crossed by the line to get to the capital. No trains will run.

In anticipation of this disruption, SNCB has nevertheless provided a solution. All canceled trains will thus be replaced by buses, either which make multistops in all the stations crossed (as well as Moensberg but with the exception of Holleken and De Hoek) or only which stop at Bruxelles-Midi, Braine- Alleud and Nivelles. S19 trains will also be diverted between Saint-Job and Linkebeek and will exceptionally run as far as Hal.
