Budget-friendly Surface Laptop SE student laptop coming soon to Belgium

From December Microsoft will also offer Belgian schools the Surface Laptop SE, which was announced last year in the United States. At a price of 299 euros, it will represent a serious competitor for the Chromebook.

The Surface Laptop SE is an 11.6-inch screen laptop, equipped with 4 gigabytes of RAM, 64 gigabytes of storage capacity and an Intel Celeron N4020 processor. The device weighs 1.11 kilograms and additionally has a headphone jack, a USB-A port (the default USB port) and a USB-C port.

It is certainly quite basic, but for this price, it is nevertheless a complete device. Microsoft promises 16 hours of battery life once the battery is fully charged, and insists that the device is easily repairable by IT managers. This is how the screen, the motherboard and, of course, the battery can be easily replaced.

Another special feature: the Surface Laptop SE runs on Windows 11 SE, a special version of Windows 11 which focuses more on the use of the cloud and which can above all be managed by the IT administrator of a school establishment.
