Building a Sustainable Future: Xavier’s Radical Transformation and Our Collective Trajectory

2023-09-09 06:00:33

For Xavier, the turning point came a year ago and was quite brutal. “This trigger comes mainly from three sources. The heated discussions with my three children. My meetings with young entrepreneurs who manage to launch their sustainable business, but who are worried or even pessimistic regarding the future. And finally, reading Bill Gates’ book “Climate: How to Avoid Disaster.”

What particularly marks him in these discussions and his new knowledge acquired is realizing that collectively, we are taking the wrong trajectory and heading straight into the wall. “And that, in the years to come, we will regret it bitterly.”

Xavier confides to us, he is currently in a phase of “radicalization”. “There has to be some form of revolution. I think that if I were 20 years old, I would dig up the paving stones and throw them at planes. But today, I am more of a builder than anything else thing.”
