At least fifteen people were killed Friday in Mexico in the accident of a tourist bus which overturned on a road in the state of Nayarit (west), announced the local authorities.
“There are at this stage fifteen people dead”, including two minors, and a dozen injured, said the Ministry of Security in a press release.
The victims are tourists from the state of Guanajuato (center) who were returning to León, the largest city in that state, after a vacation.
Footage released by authorities on social media shows the bus overturned in a shallow ravine by the side of the road.
According to local media, the bus was carrying 48 passengers, taxi drivers and their families who had organized this end-of-year trip.
