Businesswomen from Ñuble together in regional export council – La Discusión 2024-04-10 19:36:34

In the commune of Pinto, the regional office of ProChile in Ñuble held the first Regional Export Council 2024, which in this instance was led by the National Director of ProChile, Lorena Sepúlveda. At the event, businesswomen from various productive sectors of the region met, ranging from the commune of Cobquecura, with cochayuyo producers, to San Fabián de Alico.

“It has been a tremendously productive day, with more than 20 women, exporters and non-exporters from the Ñuble Region, with a variable and interesting offer. In this instance we take advantage of knowing what the gaps are and how ProChile can continue to support them, which ultimately becomes the objective of these regional councils,” said Lorena Sepúlveda, National Director of ProChile.

Knowing the specific needs of the region and of women entrepreneurs is one of the main objectives for which these Regional Councils are developed. In this way, ProChile seeks to provide a more personalized and effective service, which allows them to reach their full potential in international markets and diversify the regional offer.

The Regional Governor (s) of Ñuble, Alicia Contreras, expressed that this Regional Export Council “was a tremendous event, since it brought together exporting businesswomen and potential exporters from the region, which allows them to identify the gaps that exist to enhance their ventures and know, from the Regional Government, how we can help, given the commitment of our Governor to Prochile. We were able to commit to collaborative work not only with ProChile, but also with entities that help overcome gaps and such as DIFOI to support them in the corresponding coordination.”

They shared experiences

Josefina Mas, owner and founder of Bloom Seeds, defined the day as transparent, frank and very productive. “We were able to get to know who we women leaders are. This, to be able to expose the gaps that we have had to overcome in the region as exporters, which were accepted very respectfully and valued by the authorities who accompanied us. I hope these instances continue, strengthening the group, sharing their experiences and frustrations and thus being able to inspire more women to undertake and export products from the Ñuble Region.”

During the activity, success stories were also presented, such as Katankura, which is led by Sonja Ungar, who today exports truffles and value-added products to different markets such as the US, Canada, Europe and last year was in the United Arab Emirates to Expand your customer network. In addition, last year she was recognized with the Export Woman distinction from ProChile.
