Butler with an eye on ‘Kim Gin”s records; Accompanied by great achievements, fans waiting for the finals

Ahmedabad: Rajasthan Royals star batsman Jose Buttler has joined Virat Kohli’s record. Buttler added his name to the record set by Kohli’s fort with a century that broke RCB’s chest in the second qualifier of the IPL yesterday. Kohli and Bowler now share the record for most centuries in a Twenty20 series.

Kohli, who played in impossible form for RCB in 2016, had scored four centuries. Butler now came with it. He also became the second highest scorer in the IPL after Kohli’s stylish performance yesterday.

Both have scored five centuries in the IPL. Chris Gayle, hailed as the Universal Boss, tops the list with six centuries. Fans are hopeful that Buttler will be able to break records in his name when he goes down against the Gujarat Titans in the IPL final.

Butler again, century! Rajasthan Royals beat RCB in IPL final

Ahmedabad: Rajasthan Royals defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in the second qualifier of the IPL 2022 in the final. Sanju Samson and his team won by seven wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Jose Butler’s century (106 not out off 60 balls) gave Rajasthan the lead. Rajasthan will take on Gujarat Titans in the final on Sunday. RCB lost the toss and opted to bat, scoring 157 for eight in the allotted overs. In reply, Rajasthan lost just three wickets in 18.1 overs. Rajat Patidar (58)’s innings helped RCB. Prasidh Krishna and Obed McCoy, who took three wickets apiece, kept RCB out of the big score. Both teams went down without a change.

Rajasthan got off to a flying start as they started batting towards victory. Mohammad Siraj scored 16 runs in the first over. Jaiswal hit two sixes and a four. Six runs in the second over by Josh Hazlewood. But Siraj himself scored 15 runs in the third over. Jaiswal and Buttler put on 31 runs for the second wicket in just two overs. But Jayaswal returned with 61 runs on the scoreboard. The wicket was for Hazlewood. Sanju (23 off 21 balls) came to the crease later and gave a lot of hope.

However, the player was sent off for an unnecessary shot against Vanindu Hazaranga. Sanju jumps out of the crease without realizing it. Sanju was stumped by wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik. Sanju had two beautiful sixes and a four in his innings. Rajasthan were close to victory when Devdutt Padikkal was dismissed for 9 off 12 balls. Butler’s century was later awaited by the fans. He completed his century in the 18th over. Butler’s innings consisted of six sixes and ten fours.

RCB got off to a bad start. Kohli (7) lost his wicket in the second over. Kohli returns after catching wicketkeeper Sanju off Prasidh. Kohli scored seven runs off eight balls. The FAF-PADIDAR alliance, which later merged, led RCB to a better score in the powerplay. Meanwhile, Patidar’s catch was dropped by Ryan Parag. The catch that could have been taken on Prasidh’s own ball was left by Parag.

But after 10 overs, Rajasthan came back into the match. Faf Duplessis (25) returned in the fourth ball of the 11th over. RCB defended in the 14th over when Trent Bolt returned Glenn Maxwell (24). Prasidh Krishna took three wickets for just 22 runs in four overs. McCoy gave up just 23 runs. Trent Bolt took one wicket for 28 runs in that over. R Ashwin also has a wicket.
