The conditions for benefiting from the ecological bonus are changing. The State will be less generous for the purchase of an electric vehicle, details a decree published on December 30 in the Official Journal. Not only does the amount of aid drop by 1,000 euros, from 6,000 to 5,000 euros for most individuals (from 4,000 to 3,000 euros for legal persons), but its granting is subject to new criteria .
There are no more bonuses for plug-in hybrids. Cars whose purchase price exceeds 47,000 euros (battery included) are also excluded from the device (they benefited until now from a boost of 2,000 euros). A person will be able to take advantage of only one bonus every three years, and the car should not weigh more than 2.4 tons. None of the city cars and compacts under 47,000 euros, however, reaches this weight.
Reinforced aid for the most modest households
At the same time, the ecological bonus is reinforced for very modest households whose reference tax income per share is less than 14,089 euros. They will see their boost increased from 5,000 to 7,000 euros (8,000 euros for a utility). An amount capped, in all cases, at 27% of the purchase cost and conditioned to the fact of not reselling his vehicle before one year and a minimum of 6,000 km traveled.
