The Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, issued a ministerial decision to amend the list of public taste to include a fine of 250 to 500 riyals for everyone who wears shorts in mosques and government agencies and departments only, to become the 20th violation in the list.
The Minister of the Interior approved an amendment to the regulation of public taste as stipulated in Articles Seven and Nine of the regulation, to add a new violation to the classification of violations of the regulation of maintaining public taste, which included 19 violations to become 20 violations after the amendment.
The regulation had entered into force on November 2, 2019; It identified 19 violations, the perpetrators of which are punishable by fines ranging from 50 to 6000 riyals.
The amended public taste violations included 20 violations, which are shown in the following table:
