Cadem: Gonzalo de la Carrera and Guillermo Teillier are the worst evaluated politicians in Chile | National

The Republican deputy, Gonzalo de la Carrera, and the president of the Communist Party, Guillermo Teillier, are the worst evaluated figures in politics, as revealed in the latest installment of the Plaza Pública de Cadem survey.

In the telephone study that considered the opinion of 705 men and women over 18 years of age, the perception that citizens have regarding different figures in the political sphere was measured.

In this context, the survey revealed that the worst evaluated figures in politics are the president of the Communist Party (PC), Guillermo Teillierand the representative of the Republican Party, Gonzalo of the Race.

The latter has been the target of criticism in recent weeks as a result of unfortunate posts on his Twitter account.

In contrast, the best evaluated politicians are the mayor of Florida, Rodolfo Carter and the mayor of Providencia, Evelyn Matthew. In both cases, 59% of those surveyed said they had a “positive or very positive” image of them.

Two percentage points increased the approval of the way Gabriel Boric is running his governmentalmost 6 months after his investiture as president.

Specifically, as announced in the last installment of the survey carried out week by week by Cadem, the President’s approval reached 39%, while disapproval remained at 56%, the same as in the previous measurement.

In general terms, and considering political, economic and social aspects, 59% of those consulted answered that they believe that the country is going down a bad pathwhile 36% said they think they are on the right track.

In the economic sphere, the figures are even less optimistic, since 86% believe that the Chilean economy is stagnant or regressing. Indeed, only 13% consider that the economy is progressing.

Regarding expectations, 41% are “pessimistic or very pessimistic” when asked about how they feel about the future of the country, while 38% said they feel “very optimistic or optimistic.”

Also, 61% of those consulted described their current economic situation as “very good or good” and that of his family. 28% stated that their personal economy and that of their family was “bad or very bad”.

This week -at least officially- the pollster did not announce the results of the vote in the Plebiscite, because the law prevents them from doing so.
