Cafe Chaiwala in London faces financial difficulties and controversy – Pakistan

Arshad Khan, Pakistan’s most famous tea shop in London, is facing serious financial difficulties. A year ago, this cafe was launched in a grand manner.

According to Pakistan Today, sources have told that UK franchise owners have not paid royalties to Arshad Khan as promised. Arshad Khan has been politely demanding royalty, but he has been refusing to give royalty on the pretext of loss in business. At the same time, they did not pay the rent of the cafe.

Arshad Khan’s brand was brought last year by his two cousins Nadir Khan Durrani and Yawar Akbar Durrani. The records of the relevant UK institution show that Yawar Akbar Durrani had registered Cafe Chaiwala Limited under company number 13205566. Nader Khan Durrani is a British citizen and Yawar Akbar Durrani is Canadian. Yavar lives in America.

Nader Khan Durrani and Yawar Akbar Durrani registered the company in 2021 and currently doing business as dynamic company. Cafe Chaiwala Arshad Khan is located at 229 Alfred Lane in East London. Yawar Akbar Durrani claims that he has two dozen Popeyes branches in the US under the AR Restaurants Group. The situation is so bad that the ground floor of Cafe Chaiwala could never be opened for public due to poor quality of service.

When the restaurant was opened last year, the brand was very popular and people came from all over the UK. Due to mismanagement, non-observance of hygiene rules and poor quality, people have stopped coming here.
