The final legislative action occurred on a Monday consent calendar, a procedural designation reserved for matters considered so routine that lawmakers opted to pass them without debate, according to reporting by the Los Angeles Times via Yahoo Sports.
With the legislative hurdles cleared, Governor Gavin Newsom has a two-month window to sign the bill into law. Observers consider a veto highly improbable given the complete absence of legislative opposition. Tying State Housing Exemptions to Local Heritage
