Trudeau poisonous: “If a gang of idiots decides to go on vacation like the Ostrogoths, then it is extremely frustrating, demoralizing.” The behavior of the influencers was “unacceptable”, Trudeau told journalists.

The group of young influencers had chartered a private plane to Mexico – apparently to avoid the strict Canadian corona rules and to celebrate the New Year in the Mexican sun. However, the party began above the clouds: no gaps, no masks, but plenty of alcohol – and allegedly there was even sex on the plane. Incredible: the cabin crew capitulated in front of the celebrating crowd. Videos of the wild life later appeared on social networks.
In the Canadian homeland, the influencer party sparked outrage: the country is currently recording record numbers of infections, and restrictions are once again in place in several provinces. Among other things, schools are closed and private gatherings are prohibited.
Their excess has consequences for the uninhibited influencers: The airline Sunwing, which organized the flight, said that a group of passengers on the flight on December 30, 2021, with their “unbridled” behavior violated the hygiene regulations applicable on board. The airline then canceled the return flight to Canada.
Several of Sunwing’s competitors – including Canada’s largest airline Air Canada – announced that they would be banning the influencers participating in the celebration from their flights. In addition, it is still being checked whether the influencers get hefty fines.
