“Canadiens Prospect Owen Beck Suspended for Dangerous Move in OHL Playoffs”

Canadiens prospect Owen Beck is suspended for the remainder of the OHL playoffs for a tripped Friday night against London Knights defenseman Jackson Edward. This was announced by the Ontario junior circuit on Saturday noon.

The center player’s dangerous move came 40 seconds from the end of Game 5 of the final between the Peterborough Petes (Beck’s club) and the Knights. Beck then received a major penalty and was ejected from the match.

This is the second time in the series that Beck has made an unpleasant contact.

Earlier in the series, the young man had also served a very questionable check at the head of Denver Barkey. He had not been suspended, but still received another major penalty. Take a look at this sequence below.
