Independiente Santa Fe has decided to end the cycle of Martín Cardetti, who only spent five months in office but failed to deliver the expected results. The news was confirmed by President Eduardo Méndez at a press conference.
The DT spoke with the team’s board of directors, presented his arguments and reached an agreement to end the contract, which still had seven months left. Although it was proposed that his assistants stay provisionally, they finally did not accept and who will sit on the bench will be Agustín Julio, current sports manager.
Now the question is: will it be a good decision in the middle of the current campaign, which only has three days left? And besides, who would want to take the reins in such a pressing situation?
For President Eduardo Méndez, there is no specific preference: “It can be experience, national or foreign, none is ruled out,” he said at a press conference. “Who doesn’t want to come to Santa Fe,” he added. Well, the first question is who wants, that is the task that starts from now on.
