  • A man from France got a job as a camp manager and nurse with the help of forged diplomas.

  • The swindler gave the children injections and drew blood from them – without qualification or the consent of the parents.

  • The district court of Sierre has now sentenced him to one and a half years in prison and three years’ expulsion from the country.

  • In France, the man has already been convicted four times for similar crimes.

The former camp manager and alleged carer has been in custody since mid-August 2021. This week the district court in Sierre passed its verdict: one and a half years in prison and three years expulsion from the country for qualified simple bodily harm, forgery of documents and violation of the health law. This reports “The Newbie”.

According to the report, some parents filed a complaint when they discovered puncture marks on their upper arms after their children returned. The club’s lawyer described the circumstances of the recruitment process to “Le Nouvelliste”. The swindler had neither a qualification as a camp manager nor as a nurse.

However, he submitted forged French diplomas that were difficult to verify. Despite a ten-page questionnaire and a video interview prior to employment, the association did not notice any irregularities.

Already four convictions in France

However, it turned out that in addition to giving injections, the man also took blood from the children and gave them food supplements, homeopathic remedies and essential oils without parental consent. According to “Le Nouvelliste”, the man is frustrated that he was never able to complete his training as a nurse. Using needles on children is a strong urge in him that comes from his will to help others.

Psychiatric investigations revealed that the man had a personality disorder with “narcissistic, immature and perverse features”. In France he had already been convicted four times for similar crimes. He was forbidden to work with minors. Before he came to Switzerland, the swindler used fake diplomas and criminal records to gain access to jobs in France.

The man was convicted in France for the first time in 2006 and for the second time in 2008. In 2017 he was sentenced to two years in prison. In 2019 he was again sentenced to two years in prison. This time with a ban on ever working in contact with minors again in the future. The Swiss club that employed the man knew nothing about it. In the summer of 2021, the convict ran holiday camps with 30 children a week.
