A 19-year-old from the Wels-Land district drove his car along the L 1249 Grünbachtal state road from Gunskirchen towards Offenhausen around 1 a.m. on Saturday. There was a 19-year-old in the passenger seat and a 21-year-old in the back seat, both from the Vöcklabruck district.
In the municipality of Gunskirchen, the driver got onto the shoulder of the road, slid into an adjacent field, whereby the vehicle rolled over and came to rest on its roof. The driver and the 21-year-old were able to free themselves independently; the 19-year-old in the passenger seat had to be freed from the vehicle by the fire department using hydraulic rescue equipment. All those involved were injured and taken to hospital.
