Caracas coach: Samson’s move to Zamalek is an important step

Francesco Stefano, the Venezuelan coach of Caracas, listed the advantages of the new Zamalek player, Samson Aquinola, noting that his move to the white team during the current summer transfers is “a big and important step in the player’s career.”

Samson moved to Zamalek this summer from Caracas, in a deal that sparked controversy, but he has not participated with the team so far.

Stefano said, in statements to Al-Mehwar channel, in the early hours of Monday morning, “Samson Aquinola is a player with great talent, who makes a great effort in training, and his performance develops from one match to another. He is an important player, and I think he will adapt to playing in Egypt.”

He added, “Samson likes to move a lot in the offensive third and plays wonderfully behind defenders. He can control the ball and can hit opponents’ defenses through long passes. He is a physically strong player, plays with his feet with the same efficiency, and is good at air games. I see that he is an integrated player.”

He concluded, “I am happy as a coach for Samson. He found a suitable opportunity, and I cannot stand his desire to take a new experience. I expect him to be an important player, and he will take a big step in his career by playing for Zamalek.”
