Carlos Gutiérrez established a position on the extraordinary: “We are not going to lend ourselves to this tasteless blackmail”

The head of the bloc of Córdoba Federal deputies, Carlos Gutiérrez, assured that this bench will not lend itself to “blackmail in bad taste” around the agenda of the extraordinary sessions and considered that, in order to move forward with the agenda, the ruling party must first “freeze” the impeachment of the Supreme Court of Justice.

“We are not going to lend ourselves to this low-level blackmail, in bad taste, because the implementation of the Political Judgment Commission has become a circus that has absolutely nothing to do with what Argentines require today.”

Gutiérrez, who is the voice of Governor Juan Schiaretti in the lower house, considered that “if both the Frente de Todos and Juntos por el Cambio are interested in addressing these issues, it is very simple: let’s freeze the Impeachment Commission and focus on the topics”.

However, he set out what the Schiarettismo’s agenda is and also asked to discuss “the privileged situation that companies like Aysa and Edesur have compared to an interior that does not have it; that the interior of the country does not pay two or three times more for transport than what the AMBA pays; lower withholdings; and an energy policy that incorporates biofuels”.

In addition, he pointed against the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, by pointing out that “he wants a package of economic laws to be removed from him but he looks the other way and does not take a public position on this violation of Justice.”

The deputy participated in the meeting of the Impeachment Commission, despite not being a member of it, together with the head of the Federal Interblock, Alejandro “Topo” Rodríguez.

“We have witnessed a foreseeable start-up of a media circus. And in the case of the national Government, acting like a bad magician that tries to hide the true and exclusive intention of going against the Court, of modifying the Judicial Council by decree and resuming the old Senate project to increase the number of the Court, without having the necessary consensus, with this kind of extortion that there are other issues included in the call for extraordinary meetings that deserve our attention,” Gutiérrez lamented in dialogue with the press accredited in Deputies.
