Carole Samaha sings Mahmoud Darwish’s poems in “The Golden Album”

Elaf: The Lebanese singer Carole Samaha released a new lyrical work entitled “The Golden Album”, which includes poems by the late great poet Mahmoud Darwish.

For the golden album, the Lebanese singer chose 12 poems from Mahmoud Darwish’s poems, composed by Dr. Tayseer Haddad and Arrangement by Alexander Misakian: “My God, Beirut, think of others, an apology, Maroons, I will become one day, I will dream, Nile birds, the one o’clock train, I do not sleep to dream and we love life,” in addition to the poem “The war will end,” which was revealed later. It belongs to the ancient heritage.

It took more than 3 years to prepare and record the golden album between Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Ukraine and Turkey, with the participation of the Philharmonic Orchestra.

The songs were filmed under the direction of director Basil Nasser, between Turkey and the Emirates, with a large team consisting of technicians and technicians from different Arab and foreign nationalities, where special designs and decorations were prepared that were built specifically for this work.

As for the ideas through which Carole Samaha appeared in the songs’ videos, she and director Basil Nasser wanted them to reflect the image of reality with an expressive and creative look, new and different from the popular music videos, whether in terms of approved costumes or even filming locations.

With the launch of her new album, Carole received thousands of comments and e-mails through which her fans expressed their admiration for the new songs, so the majority agreed that she had succeeded in presenting elite work in a contemporary way, and the hashtag #Carol_Golden_Album topped the list of the most frequently used phrases in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Libya, Syria and others. from Arab countries.

It is noteworthy that the “Golden Album” is produced by Carole Samaha, through which she embarks on a new and different artistic adventure in her artistic career.
