Cashier Beaten in a Supermarket – NBC New York (47)

NEW YORK — A checkout process at a supermarket in the Bronx took a violent turn Sunday, when a cashier was attacked by multiple women at her register, all of which was captured on video.

The fight took place around 1:30 p.m. at a Food Universe supermarket located at 312 East 194th Street in the Fordham section of the county.

Images of the scene that undoubtedly cause consternation and that until this Tuesday kept the victim very scared, supermarket employees told Telemundo 47.

Surveillance camera footage shows a woman running towards the victim and then repeatedly punching her.

Other employees and even customers immediately tried to end the fight, but other women also attacked the cashier, even pulling her hair and punching her in the face.

“It’s abusive,” said Ronny Ríos, a supermarket customer. “They already exceeded the excess because they cannot be doing that. They [las trabajadoras] They always behave well.”

The owner of the supermarket and member of the Collective of action for the protection of stores, said that many workers like the brave cashier of his store have been attacked and it is too much.

The suspects are described as women in their 40s and 50s.
