This band is unusually good at incorporating multiple elements into one song, from the easy-to-understand groupings of Sunshine Pop, C86, and Elephant 6, to indie pop that uses all kinds of guitars since then. I’m looking forward to the album.
“The original title for the demo of this song was “Bruce” because I thought I was writing a Springsteen song. My goal starting out was to not overthink it and just make a straightforward rock song, but that didn’t last very long and next thing I knew I was listening to three guitar tracks playing lead lines at the same time thinking ‘what have I done’. Instead of reeling it back in I decided to just lean into it and when I found myself playing with an electronic drum pad I knew I was past the point of no return. I’ve always liked when songs use weaving guitar lines in place of fully strummed chords so I used that idea for the choruses and ended up with something that was either pretty sounding or just chaotic. That in mind I thought it would be neat to use the second verse as a sort of anchor for all that guitar movement by telling a short anecdote regarding someone leaving somebody an anonymous wordless voicemail, but being exposed by the background noises.” – Scott Huerta

A fire broke out on Saturday evening in the farmhouse on a farm on Brogårdsvej a little west of Ljørslev on Nykøbing Mors. The alarm came to the emergency services at 6.17 p.m., and when the report was of danger to animals, a full firefighting train was dispatched from the station in Nykøbing, as well as extra personnel and equipment from the station in Durup.
