“Cats”, “dogs”, “seals” and “dolphins” from Chinese automakers
Some car companies understand that bright and unusual names are remembered much better than indexes, so they replace alphanumeric model designations with original names. For example, the Volvo brand did this: the Swedes will call the successor to the XC90 crossover Embla. The Chinese have gone even further. Brands from the Middle Kingdom seem to compete with each other in the unusual names: one of the newest trends is naming cars after living beings. Let’s visit this “zoo” from companies from China.
