Caught peeing: 50-year-old fled from the police

The man struggled with the officers, injured one of them and drove away. He was arrested a short time later, the police said in a release.

The 50-year-old urinated in a bush in a parking lot around 10:45 p.m. and then got back into his car. Two civil patrol officers observed the Völkermarkt resident and asked him to check the driver and vehicle. Suddenly the man put the car in reverse and began to drive backwards. A police officer who was standing between the open driver’s door and the vehicle was almost knocked down. Only when the car hit a parked car did it stop.

Breathalyzer test refused

The two police officers then tried to turn off the engine, but were forced out of the vehicle by the 50-year-old, resulting in one of the police officers being injured. The man managed to escape – but a short time later he was stopped and arrested by another police patrol. The 50-year-old refused to take an alcohol test.
