CD Projekt Red knows Cyberpunk 2077 still has some work to do after recent patch

The recent 1.5 update for Cyberpunk 2077 was a huge step forward, bringing the game closer to what was promised at launch. With free trials and big sales going on since then, it’s clear the studio viewed this as something of a soft relaunch in an attempt to bring in new players who missed out on the game in 2020. But despite all the work done on the update, CDPR is not finished yet.

We are still improving the game, because everyone understands that there is something to work on. We’re really happy that you liked version 1.5 and it gives us more… motivation to work for you guys because you show your appreciation for it. That’s all I can tell you. We are working on the material for you. For example, now, I literally look at quests every day, talk to people about things, so the work goes on.

Sasko said in response to a question from a fan who asked about future Cyberpunk content in 2022.

Sasko also hinted that an expansion might be around the corner and is being actively worked on. However, like other future updates, he cannot discuss this in detail right now.
