The pastor of the Maronite Diocese of Jbeil, Archbishop Michel Aoun, presided over a festive mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Byblos, on the occasion of the feast of the two apostles Peter and Paul.
In his sermon, Aoun pointed out that “Saint Peter did not know the meaning of happiness, peace and love until he met the Lord Jesus,” considering that “the Church today also needs apostles and disciples of the Lord Jesus on the example of Peter and Paul, in order to carry the good news in the history of the Church.”
And he stressed “the importance of attaching to and practicing Christian values,” calling for “spreading love and living it, because it alone helps us get rid of our crises on all levels.”
